How long do you have to live? do any of us know how much longer we have? Most of us are so concerned about how we look, what we wear, what we eat, and try desperately to live as long as we can. Then nearing the end of our lives we anticipate death and prepare our own funerals!
The Naturalistic Philosophy implications of Clarence Darrow, he states;
“The purpose of man is like the purpose of the pollywog — to wiggle along as far as he can without dying; or, to hang to life until death takes him.”
Do you really want to hang onto life like this? — debating whether or not to believe in God?
What will tomorrow bring for you?
You will live forever after you die, but where?
(Hebrews 9:27)
And inasmuch as it is reserved for men to die once, and after this comes judgment.
Shouldn't you consider today?
(Romans 6:23)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”
Eternal life is a free gift to anyone who wants it! through Christ Jesus our Lord.
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
According to this verse; Jesus is the only way to the Father. If you were to die today, where would you end up for eternity?
You might feel concerned or embarrassed in the company of your friend’s right? Maybe you will feel like a wimp of some sort. You can’t imagine yourself confessing your faith in the Lord, praying, or even reading the Bible! Not to worry.
When you receive the Lord’s life, God will start to initiate a transformation that is from His divine life and nature that will continue to grow throughout every part of your being forcing out your old ways that will eventually cause you to feel confident and joyful in your new found faith! As a result, you will experience a positive change within, not by your own will or effort, but by the power of God Himself, and your friends may very well want this life to.The best thing that could ever happen to your family is hearing the Word of God through you. We all want the best for our families.
Persist in prayer until they are saved!
(Luke 18:1) And He told them...that they ought always to pray and not lose heart,
(Colossians 4:2) Persevere in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving,
(1 Thessalonians 5:17) Unceasingly pray,
In order to pray for people in a proper way, you should keep a record book. Allow God to put the names of those whom He wishes to save in your heart. When these names are in your heart, spontaneously you will be burdened to pray for them. The Lord may put a few people or a few dozen people in your heart. You have to ask God specifically for a few names. Out of all your family members, friends, colleagues, schoolmates, and those whom you know, a few names will spontaneously come to your mind. You will have a feeling for them, and you will want them to be saved first.
A record book should have the following columns: The first column should be a number; the second column, the date; and the third column, the name. This will remind us of the number we have assigned to a person and the date we began to pray for him. The fourth column should also be a date — the date when the person is saved. One should persist and not give up once a name is in the book. If the person is alive and not saved, you should keep on praying for him until he is saved. One brother prayed for his friend for eighteen years before his friend was saved. It is not certain when a person will be saved. Some are saved in a year, and some in two to three months. Perhaps one or two of them may prove to be very difficult, but in the end they will still be saved.
You should not relax but relentlessly pursue in prayer for their salvation.
After you receive the Lord Jesus as your Savior, the process of transformation will start to occur; that is God’s life will naturally start to change you, and the Lord will reveal Himself in you to others. The difference your family sees in you will be a great expression of the power of the Lord Jesus living in you. As a result they may want this life too, and you will begin to earnestly pray for them that they too can receive eternal life.
It is the Lord's desire that we are all saved.
Roman's 3:23 says "all have sinned" That means all of us are sinners, not just you.
None of us are any good! Not one. (Rom. 3:12)
There is NO sin that can keep you from receiving eternal life with our Heavenly Father!
(Romans 3:12)
“there is none who does good; there is not so much as one”.
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
We all have this in common, and not one of us is any better. But the good news is that anyone can be saved!
(Romans 10:13)
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”
(John 3:3)
Jesus replied, “I assure you; Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
You can become born again by accepting in your heart the finished work and person of Jesus Christ who paid the penalty for your sins. He has the power to forgive you because of His birth, death, and resurrection. When you believe into Him, and accept His forgiveness, only then can He erase the sins you have committed.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
Not of works that no one should boast.
(Galatians 2:16)
And knowing that a man is not justified out of works of law, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we also have believed into Christ Jesus that we might be justified out of faith in Christ and not out of the works of law, because out of the works of law no flesh will be justified.
(Romans 10:9-10)
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation.
Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior today! nothing can stop you!
The Lord does not expect you to simply throw away and give up everything instantly when you receive Him as your Savior. God wants your “want to” not your ability. He wants your desire. You do not have to work for it or live a perfect sinless life! None of us can.
(Titus 3:5)
Not out of works in righteousness which we did but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
After you receive the Lord Jesus as your eternal Savior, the process of transformation will start to occur; that is God’s life will naturally start to change you.
(Romans 12:2)
“but be transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and well pleasing and perfect”.
As this happens your sinful desires that we all experience will begin to weaken, you will lose the desire and taste for these things not from your own effort, but by the power of God Himself!
(Philippians 4:13)
I am able to do all things in Him who empowers me.
So don’t worry about giving up anything yet!
Just receive Christ as your Savior and let God Himself empower you to do the work for you!
Did you knowSatan is the god of this age? He is the ruler and evil authority of our world.
His job is to create as much chaos, havoc, and destruction as possible. God is not responsible for bad things that happen. We have a choice, a free will given to us by God, and we are sinful by nature.
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
(Revelation 12:9)
And the great dragon was cast down, the ancient serpent, he who is called the Devil and Satan, he who deceives the whole inhabited earth; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.
(2 Corinthians 4:4)
In whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelievers that the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine on them.
Who do you think taught you your first lie? It comes natural doesn’t it? Where does this “natural” come from?
In the Garden of Eden, before Adam and Eve disobeyed God they were without sin, and there was no evil. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit God forbade them to eat, sin entered the world and into us. That is why no one has to be taught to lie, cheat, steal, kill, lust etc. It is part of the nature that is in us.
The “god of this age” is Satan; he is responsible for bad things. You can chose to live a life separated from God relying on your own abilities and self effort which will be very difficult and painful, or you can live a life with God excepting Jesus Christ as your Savior!
I assure you; He is the great Comforter and will empower you to over come difficulties ahead, but you have to believe and except Him first!
(John 14:16)
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever.
(John 14:26)
But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and remind you of all the things which I have said to you.
(Philippians 4:13)
I am able to do all things in Him who empowers me.
You are correct all roads do lead to God. But here’s the problem, what are you going to say when you get there? You will receive an eternal reward, or eternal punishment, which one will it be?
(Acts 4:12)
And there is salvation in no other, for neither is there another name under heaven given among men in which we must be saved.
(John 3:3)
Jesus replied, “I assure you; Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
(Philippians 2:10-11)
That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
And every tongue should openly confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
(Revelation 20:15)
And if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
(Revelation 20:10)
And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where also the beast and the false prophet were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
If you want to be on the right road, and want eternal life, there is only one way to achieve this, and that's through Jesus.
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Lets compare vitamins and religion.
For example; there are many, many brands of the same kind of vitamins; lets use vitamin C for the illustration. All companies produce their own brand of vitamin C, and all proclaim they have the “best quality” vitamin C.
How do you determine which brand of vitamin C is best for you? Most people get very confused and discouraged when it comes to choosing the right brand. I assure you there are many cheap brands of poor quality out there!
People avoid religion because, there are so many religions that anybody shopping for one is likely to get confused and discouraged, because many claim that their “church practice’s” are the only true practice, or they may say “ours is the only true religion”.
It is not “religion” that you need, nor special garments, diets, rosaries, ceremonies, or even the “name of the church”… you simply need Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Religion without Jesus will always leave you cold, empty and hungry for truth.
Finally, regarding the many, many religions, in fact it is Satan’s strategy behind it all. If you wanted to stop the public from buying the original brand of vitamin C, what better way to discourage them than to throw a hundred other brands onto the market? This is what Satan has done to the original Gospel. His strategy is working all too well.
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
(John 6:43,51)
“Jesus answered and said unto them”
“I am the living bread which came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever”
(Ephesians 4:14)
Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.
The waves stirred up by the winds of different teachings, doctrines, concepts, and opinions are sent by Satan to entice the believers in order to carry them away from Christ and the church. Any teaching, even a scriptural one, that distracts believers from Christ and the church is a wind that carries believers away from God’s central purpose.
(Galatians 1:9)
“If anyone announces to you a gospel beyond that which you have received, let him be accursed”.
Should you refuse to go to any doctor because you know a bad one? Should you quit eating because you know a dishonest grocer?
The term “born again” or “saved” is a biblical truth that has been dragged through the dirt many times over! It is not some weird “religious” fanatical thing that some Christians do.
It is a biblical fact that ALL Christianity, and religious people should know and practice, because it is the Word of God! It is written in the Holy Bible. It does not matter what “church” you attend. If your pastor, priest, minister etc. is not teaching this truth you are not hearing the truth.
(Romans 1:18)
For God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth,
(John 3:3)
Jesus replied, “I assure you; Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
(Acts 4:12)
And there is salvation in no other, for neither is there another name under heaven given among men in which we must be saved.
(Romans 10:13)
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”
The Kingdom of God is the reign of God. It is a divine realm to be entered into, a realm that requires the divine life (God’s life). Only the divine life can realize the divine things. Hence, for you to see, or to enter into, the kingdom of God requires that you be regenerated with the divine life, simply put is to be born again, to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior.
(Romans 10:9-10)
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation.
What does the Lord say if you do not receive Him as your Savior?
If you are not saved you will suffer eternal punishment.
(Revelation 20:15)
And if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
For the thought that “Hell” is not so bad, or you will just die and not exist, think again.
(Revelation 20:10)
And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where also the beast and the false prophet were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
You are absolutely correct. There are hypocrites in every church!
(Mark 7:6)
And He said to them, Well has Isaiah prophesied concerning you hypocrites, as it is written, “This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart stays far away from Me;
(Luke 6:42)
How can you say to your brother, Brother, let me remove the splinter which is in your eye, you yourself not seeing the beam which is in your eye? Hypocrite, first remove the beam from your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the splinter which is in your brother’s eye.
How will the Lord deal with hypocrites? Greater judgment!
(Matthew 23:14)
But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour the widow’s houses, even while for a pretense you make long prayers. For this reason you shall receive greater judgment.
If a person falsely represents himself as a realtor in order to scam your money, does that mean all realtors are dishonest? Of course not; just because a person says he represents Christ does not mean he is a representative of Christ. Only Christ knows his heart, and God will judge him accordingly.
Don't let a dishonest person stand in your way of knowing God’s love for you?
Scientists are discovering astounding evidence of intelligent design in the cosmos, and as there knowledge of the universe has grown, so has the conclusion that it could not have come about by chance!
(Isaac Newton, physicist and mathematician)
“This most beautiful system of sun, planets and comets could only proceed from the council and dominion of an intelligent and powerful being.”
Scientist’s are admitting that the theory of evolution simply does not and cannot explain the origin of the earth, the origin of life or the origin of species. The ideas generated by Darwin and others simply do not fit with the facts of the fossil record or what has been discovered about the universe in the last century (see Creation and Evolution, Hayward, 1995; Debating Darwin, Christian Century, July 15–22, 1998, pp. 678–681).
The Naturalistic Philosophy implications of Clarence Darrow states;
“The purpose of man is like the purpose of the pollywog- to wiggle along as far as he can without dying; or, to hang to life until death takes him.”
Is your life a product of mindless, purposeless and random freak of cosmic dust? Our universe is incredibly finely tuned, that consists of laws and order — NOT disorder that inevitably would be chaos!
More than forty men wrote the 66 books in the Bible. Most of these writers never met, as their lifetimes were dispersed of over a period of 1,600 years. They grew up in thirteen different countries on three different continents and wrote in three different languages. Some of the writers were kings, statement - or doctor’s men of learning. Others were fishermen, shepherds, or farmers – men with little formal schooling.
Think about it: forty different writers separated by time, geography, politics, culture, vocation, social standing, and even language. What would you expect such a varied group to produce but a disorderly mass of confusion and contradiction? Yet the Bible has one central message, one code of ethics, and one plan of salvation. One person, Jesus Christ, is the main focus of the 66 books. The marvelous unity of the Bible can be explained only by its divine authorship.
The Bible contains more than 300 prophecies that were fulfilled already. They were written in Scripture hundreds and thousands of years before the birth of Jesus, and PROVEN to have taken place in history and present day!
Studies in cosmology have demonstrated in recent years that there was a time when the cosmos did not exist—that it had a beginning at a specific point in time. This is exactly what the Bible states. In Genesis 1:1 we read “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Both the Bible and the discoveries of science clearly indicate that the earth and the universe have not always existed.
The universe appears to have begun with a large explosion. This is referred to as the “big bang.” Scientists have been able to detect echoes of this explosion that still reverberate through the universe—called the “radiation echo” or “background noise.”
Stephen Hawking, a theoretical physicist at Cambridge University has written that the big bang cosmology may reveal“the mind of God,” and American astrophysicist George Smoot has suggested that background radiation represents “the handwriting of God” (Science, August 15, 1997, p. 890). Such evidence is forcing scientists to reevaluate long-cherished naturalistic theories.
Science has proved the existence of an intelligent designer – God, and every single prophecy written in the Bible to date has been fulfilled with no exception, proving the authenticity of this great book, whether you believe or not, the evidence is clear! Based on all scientific, and Biblical facts.

Did you know that Judaism is the root of Christianity?
Did you know that Jesus Christ claimed to be God? (John 10:30) “I and the Father are one”
(John 8:58)
Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I am.
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
(1 Corinthians 15:20)
But now Christ has been raised from the dead… (54) “Death has been swallowed up unto victory.” (55) Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death is your sting?
Christ’s resurrection was also a sign of the success of His achievement. Suppose Christ had remained in the tomb after He died. If such had been the case, then what Christ did would not have been a success. But the Man-Savior’s resurrection from the dead is a strong sign of His great success in His universal achievement.
Christ’s resurrection was also His victory over the world, Satan, death, Hades, and the tomb. These five things caused the Lord Jesus to be put into the tomb. But when He came forth from the tomb in resurrection, this was His victory over the world, Satan, death, Hades, and the tomb. As Peter says in Acts 2:24, “whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, since it was not possible for Him to be held by it.” Because Christ is resurrection…
(John 11:25)
I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live;
Death could not hold Him. It is impossible for death to hold resurrection; resurrection overcomes death.
(1 Peter 1:3)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
When Christ was resurrected, we, His believers, were all included in Him. Hence, we were resurrected with Him (Ephesians 2:6). In His resurrection He imparted the divine life into us, to make us alive with the Holy Spirit, to make us alive is the initial step of God’s salvation in life.
(Ephesians 2:5,6)
Even when we were dead in offences, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) And raised us up together with Him and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,
Obsession or devotion to any form of “religious practice or person” without the focus or center being Jesus Christ our Lord will result in eternal punishment of anyone who takes part.
(Acts 4:12)
And there is salvation in no other, for neither is there another name under heaven given among men in which we must be saved.
To escape such a horrible judgment is simple;
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
(Romans 10:13)
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”

Jesus replied, “I assure you; Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
(Romans 10:9-10)
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation.
A person cannot and will not be saved through good works, deeds or just being a good person.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
Not of works that no one should boast.
These practices are demonic and will result in eternal punishment of anyone who participates.
For the belief that “Hell” is not so bad, and you will resume you’re sinful acts and desires there, because they are not approved by God think again! God’s judgment on the wicked and unbelievers is very strong! Your punishment will be eternal torment day and night forever. BUT you do have hope and a chance!
To escape such a horrible judgment is simple, and anyone can achieve it, no matter what sins you have committed.
(Acts 26:18)
To open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.

Hell was not made for mankind but prepared for the devil and his angels.
(Matthew 25:41)
Then He will say also to those on the left, Go away from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
The lake of fire (hell) was prepared for the devil and his angels, not for man. However, if any man follows the devil in opposing the Lord, he will share the lake of fire with the devil and the fallen angels. Assuming you don’t consciously oppose, or reject the Lord, if you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you will be cast into the lake of fire. The Lord makes it very clear to us in the Scriptures of this Biblical truth, and you must heed this strong warning or suffer eternal punishment!
The good news is, thateveryone can be saved, including you!
(Romans 10:13)

Generally speaking all of the religions in the world can be divided into two groups. Imagine, every religion other than Christianity is in my left hand--- Mormonism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, whatever “ism”--- and Christianity is in my right hand. Everyone in my left hand makes two distinctive claims: (a) Jesus is not God, or He is not the only God. He may be a great prophet, teacher, or good man, but not the Messiah; and (b) If you do enough good works through your own efforts, such as terrorists acts, diet, or good deeds, you can receive some form of salvation.
Two opposite claims cannot possibly be true. I would be willing to admit that if the “ism” pile is true, my faith would be in vain. Would you be willing to admit, if the Christianity in my right hand is true, that your faith is in vain?
Christianity claims that Jesus is God and that God has come to us in Jesus who lived, died on the cross, and rose from the grave that we might have eternal life.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
Not of works that no one should boast.
Can both of these teachings be true?
How many people would it take flipping a quarter before one person hits heads thirty times in a row? (A Billion) One reason I believe the Bible is true is because of the thirty recorded prophecies of the birth, the death, and the resurrection of Jesus that have come true. That’s a lot like landing heads thirty times in a row.
How many people would it take flipping a quarter before one person hit heads 300 times in a row? I picked that number because it is the conservative estimate of the number of biblical prophecies that have come true!
(2 Peter 1:20-21)
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of one’s own interpretation;
For no prophecy was ever borne by the will of man, but men spoke from God while being borne by the Holy Spirit.
(1 Corinthians 15:20, 54, 55)
"But now Christ has been raised from the dead" (54) “Death has been swallowed up unto victory.” (55) Where, O death, is your victory?
As Peter says in Acts 2:24, “whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, since it was not possible for Him to be held by it.” Because Christ is resurrection.
(John 11:25)
I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live;
Even when we were dead in offences, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) And raised us up together with Him and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,
What do you think truth is?
Without Truth there is only randomness, disorder, and chaos! Our universe has LAWS and ORDER — without it we could not exist — the cosmos and all life would come apart in chaos — it would cease to function!
(Job 25:2)
"Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven.
If I were to say to you; may I borrow your watch? Then put the watch in my pocket and walk away… how would you respond? You would probably ask me what I am doing and insist I give the watch back. But if my response to you was; No, my truth is taking watches from people who don’t believe in truth. Since you don’t believe in truth then stealing must be okay and truth is a lie, therefore my truth is to steal your watch.
You might declare it is wrong to steal. Do you think its wrong because it just is? Or because the law states it’s wrong? Or does your conscience tell you that stealing is wrong? If there is no truth, then why do we all have a conscience that governs us right from wrong?
If there were no truth, then we could not distinguish right from wrong — mankind would run around rampant in survival mode.
Jesus said He was truth! (John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Man’s conscience corresponds with the God-created human nature and enables man to know what God justifies and what He condemns.
(Romans 2:15)
Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness with it and their reasoning's, one with the other, accusing or even excusing them.
The mind is the leading part of our soul, and the conscience is the main part of our spirit. If our mind is polluted, our soul is spontaneously polluted; and if our conscience is defiled, our spirit is unavoidably defiled.
(Titus 1:15)
All things are pure to the pure; yet to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
You are correct. There are many translations of the Holy Bible, BUT!
Did you know they all say the same thing? And are all translated from the original text? From the greatest text scholars we see the proof found in the Dead Sea Scrolls — almost 100% accuracy right to the last word in both New & Old Testaments!
Here is the proof!
Some of the Dead Sea Scrolls, never before seen outside of Israel, have been touring different museums in the United States, such as in the Natural History Museum in San Diego, California, and the Pacific Science Center in Seattle, Washington. They provide a glimpse of the amazing accuracy of the transmission of the text of the Old Testament through the millennia. The Dead Sea Scrolls are collectively composed of some 900 documents that contain, besides other religious literature, sections of the entire Hebrew Bible except for the book of Esther.
The scrolls range in date from the third century B.C. to the first century A.D. When these manuscripts were discovered in various caves of the northwestern region of the Dead Sea close to Qumran, a site most archaeologists believe was a community of Essene Jews, scholars wondered how many discrepancies would be found between them and the Old Testament text used for the translation of our modern Bibles, a text whose oldest copies date to the 10th century A.D. More than 1,000 years elapsed between the two versions. How well would they conform? Incredibly, when the two versions were compared, researchers found that they uncannily matched—virtually word for word.
For example, the Dead Sea Scroll containing the entire book of Isaiah, some 26 feet long, was compared to the 10th-century version of the Masoretic Text, which is the basis for our modern Old Testament. The researchers found it to match in virtually every instance. Notes Bible scholar Gleason Archer: “Even though the two copies of Isaiah discovered in Qumran Cave 1 near the Dead Sea in 1947 were a thousand years earlier than the oldest dated manuscript previously known (A.D. 980), they proved to be word for word identical with our standard Hebrew Bible in more than 95 percent of the text. The 5 percent of variation consisted chiefly of obvious slips on the pen and variations in spelling...They do not affect the message of revelation in the slightest” (A Survey of Old Testament Introduction, 1974, p. 25).
This is the greatest contribution the Dead Sea Scrolls have made to biblical scholarship. They have confirmed the reliability of the Old Testament text we now possess in our Bibles. “Critical scholars,” states Garry Brantley, “questioned the accuracy of the MT [Masoretic Text], which formed the basis of our English versions of the Old Testament, since there was such a large chronological gap between it and the autographs [original documents]. Because of this uncertainty, scholars often ‘corrected’ the text with considerable freedom. “Qumran, however, has provided remains of an early Masoretic edition predating the Christian era on which the traditional MT [Masoretic Text] is based. A comparison of the [Masoretic Text] to this earlier text revealed the remarkable accuracy with which scribes copied the sacred texts. Accordingly, the integrity of the Hebrew Bible was confirmed, which generally has heightened its respect among scholars and drastically reduced textual alteration” (“The Dead Sea Scrolls and Biblical Integrity,” Reason & Revelation online journal, April 1995, ApologeticsPress.org).
In fact, the Masoretic Text we possess today has been found to be more carefully transmitted than the Dead Sea Scrolls version! When compared, the largest Isaiah Dead Sea Scroll was found to have more spelling errors—and this is generally the case when comparing the Masoretic Text and the Dead Sea Scrolls. What about the New Testament text? How accurate is it? From the thousands of ancient copies or portions of copies known, 98 percent of the New Testament texts agree. The variations that do exist are mostly spelling errors or scribal additions that are easily discarded.
As the great text scholar Sir Frederic Kenyon noted after examining both the Old and New Testament texts (and it holds true even more so today), “The Christian can take the whole Bible in his hand and say without fear or hesitation that he holds in it the true word of God, handed down without essential loss from generation to generation throughout the centuries” (Our Bible and Ancient Manuscripts, 1939, p. 23).
(Galatians 1:9)
“If anyone announces to you a gospel beyond that which you have received, let him be accursed”.
It is common for unbelievers and skeptics to claim that there are mistakes in the Bible. In over the 3000 year history of the Bible, there has been not even one mistake documented, and I assure you many have tried to prove this, but all have failed only to prove the authenticity of this amazing book! We challenge anyone to find and prove just one mistake, because it can’t be done!
God, our Creator of this universe does not make mistakes! Just look at a little history below. This kind of structure and organization of text is not humanly possible, but only possible by God Himself!
Think about it: forty different writers separated by over 1600 years, geography, politics, culture, vocation, social standing, and even language.
(Stephen Hawking, considered the best known scientist since Albert Einstein, Austin American-Statesmen, October 19, 1997)
"The universe and the Laws of Physics seem to have been specifically designed for us. If any one of about 40 physical qualities had more than slightly different values, life as we know it could not exist”
Does this sound like God makes mistakes to you?
Have you not heard the gospel?
Did you know the Gospel is now being preached to all nations?
(Romans 1:20-23)
From the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.
For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.
This reality is that God and His existence are proved by the creation, and it is the definite fact that men, being without excuse, can know God by creation.
This great reality, this great truth, should cause men to know God and thereby to glorify Him and thank Him (Romans 1:21).
The fact remains, that to date the gospel is presently being preached in the whole inhabited earth to all nations by ways of missionaries, radio, TV broadcasts, and the Internet. Never before in history has the gospel of the Lord Jesus been spoken to this extent, and is being fulfilled as written in Matthew 24:14.
(Matthew 24:14)
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
What does the Bible say will happen to those who do not receive the gospel? It is clear; you will not go to the Father when you die.
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Like you, we are all sinners. Receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior does not make you better than anyone, but simply better off. Everyone is a sinner with no exception. Receiving the gift of God and the forgiveness of sins can only be accomplished through receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
(Romans 6:23)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”
(Galatians 1:3,4)
Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
(Romans 10:13)
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”
(Romans 10:9-10)
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation.
By whose standards do you feel you are a good person?
Or that you’re not a sinner?
(Romans 3:12)
“there is none who does good; there is not so much as one”.
Have you ever been angry, hated, called someone a bad name, hit someone, or lusted? Because if you have, by God’s standards you are guilty of all sin!
(James 2:10)
For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of breaking it all.
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Have you put a relationship, a job, or some activity that you would rather do or have over a relationship with God? If you have, those items have become your idols.
(Matthew 22:37)
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind”
Because of the holiness of God, it is impossible to measure up to His standards of perfection. Since God is the judge and jury it is His approval we have to meet.
God never said being a “good person”, or performing “good deeds” would allow you entrance into Heaven. Without having God’s life all these “good works” still do not measure up, and will never qualify you to be with God when you die.
(Hebrews 11:6)
But without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to Him, for he who comes forward to God must believe that His is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
There is only one way to get to the Father, and that is through His Son Jesus. It certainly is not how good you are, or how many good works you perform.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
Not of works that no one should boast.
You will not see God, but only through Jesus! His word tells us clearly.
(John 14:6)

It’s never nice when anyone hurts you in any way. But when a Christian hurts you it seems worse for some reason to the point where you will refuse to go back to that church, and that’s unfortunate.
Remember this! We are all sinners yes even Christians!
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
(Romans 3:12)
“there is none who does good; there is not so much as one”.
Did you know Satan is the god of this age? He is the ruler and evil authority of our world.
His job is to create as much chaos, havoc, and destruction as possible. Satan is here to deceive us all, and to ruin us all. He doesn’t want you to attend any Christian service.
(Revelation 12:9)
And the great dragon was cast down, the ancient serpent, he who is called the Devil and Satan, he who deceives the whole inhabited earth; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.
Should you refuse to go to any doctor because you know a bad one? Should you quit eating because you know a dishonest grocer?
Please do not be led astray or turned off of God, because some Christian hurt you. Christians will be judged to, and are accountable for how they lived out their life with the Lord. They don’t get off so easy as some may think!
(2 Corinthians 5:10)
For we must all be manifested before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done through the body according to what he has practiced, whether good or bad.
Don’t let a dishonest person, or an offending Christian stand in your way of knowing God’s love for you? Because you’re eternal destiny with the Lord Jesus is what really counts.
(John 6:43,51)
“Jesus answered and said unto them”
“I am the living bread which came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever”
Has any church ever asked you for money?
It’s true that most churches take an offering. But it is usually the members who willingly give; the visitors are not expected to give.
The Lord does not want your money. But when you become a believer, something happens to your heart. Eventually you start to develop a natural willingness to give and to help others. This change of heart comes from the Lord Jesus, not from you.
(Galatians 2:20)
I am crucified with Christ; and it is not longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
When this life of Christ lives out in you He continues to work in you, transforming you, renewing you. This is not accomplished through your own will or effort, but from Christ Himself, resulting in developing a willingness to give.
(Romans 12:2)
“but be transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and well pleasing and perfect”.
You tried God and it didn’t work?
What did you try?
What was your motive?
Do you really believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
If your intent was to pray a few times, or attend church occasionally, expecting some kind of miracle, change, answered prayer, money, happiness etc.. Your heart was not right, and there is a possibility that you did not receive the Lord as your Savior.
You can never receive the Lord as your Savior through works, or deeds of any kind, but only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you have this faith? Do you really believe?
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
Not of works that no one should boast.
How do you get your heart to be right?
(Romans 10:9,10,13,14)
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation.
For “whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.
How then shall they call upon Him into whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe into Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without one who proclaims Him?
Christ being raised from the dead was invisible; hence, it requires our believing. Christ’s death has redeemed us, it is His life in resurrection alone that can save us. Therefore, only when we believe in the great miracle that God performed in Christ in raising Him from the dead can we be both redeemed and saved.
To believe with the heart is toward God; to confess with the mouth is toward man. To believe with the heart is to believe in Christ, who was glorified and raised by God from the dead; to confess with the mouth is to confess that Jesus, who was despised and rejected by man, is Lord. Both are conditions for our being justified and saved.
If you believe whole-heartedly in the Lord Jesus, having no expectations other than receiving Him as your Savior, surely you will call on His name, and you will be saved.
You absolutely do not have to change to fit some “Christian life style”, for that matter you don’t even have to change for God. Any change that will occur should not come from your own will power or your own efforts, but through the power of God Himself living right inside of you!
Remember; all of us fall short of the Glory of God. Christians are no better, but only better off, because of the forgiveness of sins in Christ.
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
There are no works, deeds, or great accomplishments that you can do to impress God, you are not saved by works, but saved through faith in Jesus Christ, and you will naturally change by Christ’s life alone, not by your own works.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; Not of works that no one should boast.
God’s word says, you will be able to do all things in Him (Christ) who empowers you; it is the Lord that does the work in you. You do not change yourself.
(Philippians 4:13)
I am able to do all things in Him who empowers me.
(Galatians 2:20)
I am crucified with Christ; and it is not longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
God wants your “desire” to want Him; He wants your willingness to seek Him, to know Him, and to follow Him. He does not want your ability. You need not to make an effort to change or to live a certain way to meet some “Christian life style” He will take care of that for you. As you willingly continue to seek God through Jesus Christ within you, His will increasingly replaces your own.
God forgives EVERYONE!
None of us are any good! Not one.
(Romans 3:12)
“there is none who does good; there is not so much as one”.
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
We all have this in common, and not one of us is any better. But the good news is that anyone can be saved! and so can you!
(Romans 10:13)
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”
(John 3:3)
Jesus replied, “I assure you; Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
You can be born again by accepting in your heart the finished work and person of Jesus Christ who paid the penalty for your sins. He has the power to forgive you because of His birth, death, and resurrection. When you believe into Him, and accept His forgiveness, only then can He erase the sins we have committed.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
The Lord will forgive your sins! Everyone can be saved!
God forgives EVERYONE! And the fact is none of us are any good.
But the good news is that anyone can be saved! So can you!
(Romans 3:12)
“there is none who does good; there is not so much as one”.
(Roman’s 3:23)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
We all are sinners, and not one of us is any better, BUT if you believe into the Lord Jesus Christ you will be saved, you will have eternal life.
(Romans 10:9-10)
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation.
The Lord will forgive your sins! Everyone can be saved! Eternal life is God's free gift to anyone who believes into Him.
Remember;
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Assuming for example; you are wearing a watch, you looked to see what the time is and discovered that your watch was lost; you’d miss it when you wanted to see the time. But if you’ve never owned a watch, you wouldn’t worry about looking for it, nor would you worry about losing it.
Don’t you find it interesting that you are worried you are not saved? You can’t worry about losing something you don’t have. I bet before you asked Christ into your life, you didn’t go around worrying that Christ was not in your heart.
It’s a great confirmation that suggests that you are probably saved, because you are concerned.
Most Christians if not all have experienced the fears you have. But you must move past these fears so you can grow in your faith. Firstly; you will find it helps to strengthen your faith by reading the word of God, because the word of God gives you power to overcome these doubts, fears, and anxieties that you experience.
(Ephesians 6:17)
And receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which Spirit is the word of God.
Receiving the helmet of salvation is for covering our mind, our mentality, against the negative thoughts shot in by the evil one. Satan injects threats, worries, anxieties, and other weakening thoughts into our mind. God’s salvation is the covering that we take up against all these daily.
Christ as the Spirit and the word furnishes us with a sword as an offensive weapon to defeat and slay the enemy. The sword, the Spirit, and the word are one. The word is the Spirit as the sword that kills the enemy.
So in other words; reading the word of God will strengthen your faith resulting in you being able to overcome and fight off these doubts, fears, and anxieties you experience.
(Ephesians 1:13,14)
In whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, in Him also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise,
Who is the pledge of our inheritance unto the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory.
To be sealed with the Holy Spirit is to be marked with the Holy Spirit as a living seal. We have been designated as God’s inheritance. At the time we were saved, God put His Holy Spirit into us as a seal to mark us out, indicating that we belong to God.
REMEMBER THIS!
(Romans 10:9-10)
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation.
YOU were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise, (Ephesians 1:13)
As Christians, we are inspired to go out and disciple (to speak) the good news concerning the Gospel of Jesus Christ that you may be saved, and have eternal life with our Heavenly Father.
(Matthew 28:19)
"Go therefore and disciple all the nations"
There are potentially many, many reasons why you’re beliefs are private, and probably very personal to you. You may feel embarrassed, angry, or not in the least bit interested in talking with any Christian, or reading any kind of material. You might object to every thought of God, or what truth is.
It is encouraged to look through all of the objections, and information in this site. Hopefully you can find something of encouragement, or an answered question that will help you in your quest in knowing what truth is, and the free gift offered to you from God.
There are many scientific, and Biblical prophecy facts within this site to prove the existence of a creator, and what truth is. At your own leisure please take a few moments and discover them for yourself.
What if what you believe were not true?
It is awesome that you believe in God! You’re almost where you should be in your faith.
But what did the Lord say?
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
It’s quite simple really; all you have to do is believe in Jesus as Lord and that God has raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (eternal life with God). This will ensure and secure your eternal destiny with God the Father. As the previous verse says; “No one comes to the Father except through Me” (Jesus).
(Acts 4:12)
And there is salvation in no other, for neither is there another name under heaven given among men in which we must be saved.
(Romans 10:9-10)
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; For with the heart there is believing unto righteousness, and with the mouth there is confession unto salvation.
(1 Corinthians 8:6)
Yet to us there is one God, the Father, out from whom are all things, and we are unto Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we are through Him.
Our God, the Father, is the unique source of all things, and our Lord, Jesus Christ, is the unique means through whom all things came into being. As John 14:6 says without Jesus no one comes to the Father. Do you want to receive Jesus as your Savior?
Lets be very clear; once you have been saved you cannot lose your salvation!
Unfortunately, even some Christians believe they can.
Lets see why it is impossible to lose your salvation, and thank God we can’t!
(Ephesians 1:13,14)
In whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, in Him also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise,
Who is the pledge or our inheritance unto the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory.
To be sealed with the Holy Spirit is to be marked with the Holy Spirit as a living seal. We have been designated as God’s inheritance (Eph.1:11). At the time we were saved, God put His Holy Spirit into us as a seal to mark us out, indicating that we belong to God. The Holy Spirit, who is God Himself entering into us, causes us to bear God’s image, signified by the seal.
“Sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise,” (v.13) indicates that God planned according to His pleasure to seal us with His Spirit.
“Pledge” (v.14), or foretaste, guarantee; token payment; a partial payment in advance, guaranteeing the full payment. Since we are God’s inheritance, the Holy Spirit is a seal upon us. Since God is our inheritance, the Holy Spirit is a pledge to us of this inheritance. God gives His Holy Spirit to us not only as a guarantee of our inheritance, securing our heritage, but also as a foretaste of what we will inherit of God, affording us a taste beforehand of the full inheritance. In ancient times the Greek word for pledge was used in the purchasing of land. The seller gave the purchaser some soil as a sample from the land. Hence, a pledge, according to ancient Greek usage, is also a sample. The Holy Spirit is the sample of what we will inherit of God in full.
(Romans 8:35-39)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?
As it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; we have been accounted as sheep for slaughter.”
But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor things to come nor powers
Nor height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The love of God is the source of His eternal salvation. This love is in Christ and has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Rom.5:5). Nothing can separate us from this love of God (v.38-39). In God’s salvation this love to us has become the love of Christ (v.35), which does many amazing things for us through the grace of Christ until God’s complete salvation is accomplished in us. These amazing things provoke God’s enemy (Satan) to attack us with all kinds of sufferings and calamities (v.35-36). However, because of our response to the love of God in Christ, these attacks have become benefits to us (Rom.8:28). Hence, we more than conquer in all our afflictions and calamities (v.37)
(John 10:28,29)
And I give to them eternal life, and they shall by no means perish forever, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand,
(Hebrews 6:4,5,6)
For it is impossible for those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit
And have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,
And yet have fallen away, to renew themselves again unto repentance, crucifying again for themselves the Son of God and putting Him to open shame.
Fallen away refers to the fact that the Hebrew Christians deviated from the pure Christian faith, and we know this today as Christian’s leaving his or her faith in the Lord, or falling off the right track in God’s way. It is impossible to renew your salvation, which means to repeat your repentance that has already been made it is not needed. To do this is to crucify again the Son of God and put Him to open shame.
Remember; you have been sealed with the Holy Spirit, and you only need to do it once.
“you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise” (Ephesians 1:13)
Few Christians view the next series of verses as “losing salvation or to perish” But this is not the case!
(1 Corinthians 3:12-15)
(12) But if anyone builds upon the foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, stubble, (13) The work of each will become manifest; for the day will declare it, because it is revealed by fire, and the fire itself will prove each one’s work, of what sort it is. (14) If anyone’s work which he has built upon the foundation remains, he will receive a reward; (15) If anyone’s work is consumed, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
The foundation is unique, but the building may differ because different builders may use different materials. All the Corinthian believers had accepted Christ as the foundation. However, some Jewish believers among them attempted to build the church with their Judaistic attainments, and some Greek believers attempted to use their philosophical wisdom. They were not like the apostles, who built with their excellent knowledge and rich experiences of Christ. The intention of the apostle in the Epistle was to warn the believers not to build the church with the things of their natural background. They must learn to build with Christ, both in objective knowledge and in subjective experience, as Paul did.
(v.12) Gold, silver, and precious stones, signify the various experiences of Christ in the virtues and attributes of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All these precious materials are the products of our participation in the enjoyment of Christ in our spirit through the Holy Spirit. Only these are good for God’s building
(v.12) Wood, grass, and stubble signify the knowledge, realization, and attainments that come from the believers natural background (such as Judaism or other religious, philosophy, or culture) and the natural way of living (which is mainly in the soul and is the natural life). These materials are not fit for God’s building, and only fit to be burned (v.13).
(v.14) The work that remains must be of gold, silver, and precious stones, the product of faithful believers of Christ. Such a work will be rewarded. The reward is based on the believer’s work after he is saved. It differs from salvation, which is based on faith in the Lord and His redemptive work.
(v.15) The work of wood, grass, and stubble, which is fit only to be burned, this one will suffer a loss of reward not salvation or not to perish; “BUT he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire”.
Hence, those believers whose Christian works are not approved by the judging Lord and who suffer the loss of reward will still be saved. God’s salvation is a free gift to all believers for eternity.
CONCLUSION
Although those believers whose Christian works are not approved by the Lord at His coming back will be saved, they will be saved so as through fire (v.15). Through fire surely indicates a discipline of some sort. However, this is altogether not the purgatory heretically taught by Catholicism in its superstitious twisting of this verse. Nevertheless, this should be a strong warning to all believers today concerning our Christian works.
Once you have received the Lord Jesus as your Savior, no one or nothing has the power to take God’s life within you away! Eternal life will never run out, and the hands of the Father and the Son will never fail.
This is God’s promise to YOU!
Does archaeology prove the Bible?
What should we say about the biblical record thus far? The skeptic can always point to elements that have yet to be specifically verified. But we should never forget that specific parts of the Bible assuredly have been upheld by archaeological discoveries. The burden of proof is on the skeptics, it is up to them to prove their case. Frank Gaebelein, an eminently qualified author and general editor of The Expositor’s Bible Commentary, has remarked that “the attitude of suspended judgment toward Bible difficulties . . . is constantly being vindicated, as archaeology has solved one Biblical problem after another, and as painstaking re-examination of discrepancies has finally led to answers” (The Expositor’s Bible Commentary, 1979, Vol. 1, p. 31).
Dr. Steven Ortiz, codirector of excavations at the site of biblical Gezer, commented in a 2007 Internet interview that “serious scholars, even if they’re not believers, even if they don’t think this [the Bible] is a sacred text, still consider it to be history because things match up so well.” Dr. Aren Maeir, excavation director at the ancient Philistine city of Gath, in another 2007 Internet interview said simply, “You can’t do archaeology in the land of Israel without the Bible.” In view of the real evidence, the doubter might do well to reconsider his position and commit his life to serving God. If he waits until every tiny issue is resolved in his own mind, he might ignore or reject a call from God Himself. He could be depriving himself of the blessings available to those who have committed themselves to learning and following God’s way of life.
The objective use of archaeology has demonstrated the truthfulness and technical accuracy of the Bible. As archaeologist Nelson Glueck concluded: “It may be stated categorically that no archaeological discovery has ever controverted a Biblical reference. Scores of archaeological findings have been made which confirm in clear outline or in exact detail historical statements in the Bible. And, by the same token, proper valuation of Biblical descriptions has often led to amazing discoveries” (Rivers in the Desert: A History of the Negev, 1959, p. 31). The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and its accuracy continues to be validated by the spade of archaeology. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of one’s own interpretation;
For no prophecy was ever borne by the will of man, but men spoke from God while being borne by the Holy Spirit.
The Lord has strong words against the Religionists!
Rebuking the Religionists — Their Hypocrisy.
(Ezekiel 22:26-27)
“Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; … Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; …”
Any teaching, even a scriptural one, or a Religious one that distracts believers from Christ and the church is a wind that carries believers away from God’s central purpose, and is all to common in Religion today.
(Colossians 2:8)
Beware that no one carries you off as spoil through his philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ;
Religionists practiced their own philosophies, and traditions, which was full of deceit, and not according to God’s writings.
(Matthew 23:1-10)
1) Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, 2) Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in Moses’ seat; 3) Therefore all that they tell you, do and keep; but do not do according to their works, for they say things and do not do them. 4) And they bind burdens, heavy and hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their fingers. 5) And all their works they do to be seen by men, for they broaden their phylacteries and enlarge the fringes of their garments, 6) And they love the place of honor at the dinners and the chief seats in the synagogues 7) And the salutations in the market places and to be called by men, Rabbi. 8) But you, do not be called Rabbi, for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9) And do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, He who is in the heavens. 10) Neither be called instructors, because One is your Instructor, the Christ.
Phylacteries are small leather boxes containing parts of the law written on parchment. According to Deuteronomy 6:8 and 11:18, they were worn on the forehead as a frontlet and on the left arm. The scribes and the Pharisees (Religionists) broadened them and considered them a charm. The law required the Israelites to make fringes on the borders of their garments with a band of blue. The fringes signified that their conduct (typified by the garment) was regulated by the heavenly rule (indicated by the band of blue), and they were to be a reminder to them to keep God’s commandments (Numbers 15:38-39).
The scribes and the Pharisees enlarged the fringes, pretending that they were keeping God’s commandments and were being regulated by them to a surpassing degree.
Christ (One) alone is our Instructor, Rabbi, Guide, Teacher, Director, and Master. God alone is our Father v.9 … “for One is your Father, He who is in the heavens.”
And we as believers in Christ are brothers — nothing more. v.8 “and you are all brothers.”
(John 14:6)
Jesus told him, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
(Acts 4:12)
And there is salvation in no other, for neither is there another name under heaven given among men in which we must be saved.
